Ocotillo Place has been a pillar in the Scottsdale community for almost 20 years. We are located in the heart of  Historic Downtown Scottsdale. We’re also right across from Honor Health Hospital, Scottsdale Nursing & Rehabilitation and many other medical facilities. Conveniently located near award-winning golf resorts, world-class dining, astonishing art galleries, and a wide variety of shopping venues.

About Our Community

Ocotillo Place is located in Old Town Scottsdale, across the street from the Giants spring training stadium, and Scottsdale Osborne Honor Hospital.  Shopping Fashion Square mall and in Old Town Scottsdale will offer you a wide variety of shopping experiences, from   Antiques to state of the art gadgets, amazing restaurants, and several tourist destination spots.  Art centers and sports venues are within walking distance from our community.

Ocotillo place is a 120-bed assisted living facility licensed up to directed care. We have the largest memory care facility in Scottsdale that accepts both private and state contracted programs.  Ocotillo Place operates 24/7 with certified healthcare professionals.  Our dedicated Team partners with Medical professional to bring quality care directly to your loved one’s room.  Depending on your loved one’s insurance we have mobile dentists, podiatry, dermatology   ophthalmology, cardiology,  audiology, PT/OT/ and a speech pathologist, to name a few of our partnerships.

Ocotillo Place features private studios and one -bedroom apartments with kitchenettes (where allowed) and private bathrooms. Floor plans available!

Yes! The Bonded Pairs program-allows couples to remain living together even if one person is living with memory-related diagnosis (in select communities). Click here to learn more.

Ocotillo Place welcomes and encourages visitors, including children and pets. Visitors should be respectful of resident rights and not interfere with the plan of care. There are no visiting hours. We encourage you to visit your loved one at Ocotillo Place anytime. We ask that you be considerate of the resident and their schedule.

We offer full rider services with our Ocotillo Place Bus or handicapped accessible van. Transportation to various events is scheduled regularly, and special rides can be made with an appointment. We travel within a 10 mile radius around our community.

A beauty/barber shop is conveniently located in the community.

Dining Services offers scrumptious meals three times daily in the dining room. Quality foods and menu selection is important for health and variety. Our dining room is open from early morning to evening every day for our residents’ convenience. Please refer to our actual dining hours schedule.

Ocotillo Place’s nurse keeps a medical history for each of its residents as a supplement to the records of the resident’s physician. These records are private and securely stored, and used in the development of the care plan for residents receiving care services, as a cross reference to care plan changes, and in case of emergencies.

Supervisory Care is designed for active seniors who either need, or feel they will need, general supervision, including daily awareness of resident functioning and continuing needs, the ability to intervene in a crises and assistance in the self-administration of prescribed medications. This provides assurance that help will immediately be available in case of emergency, which creates an energetic environment full of friends, good food, and activity.

For residents requiring assistance with their daily living needs, professional licensed staff will be made available to provide personal care services . Our personal care services program offers an individualized program of assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, ambulation, etc.) including the coordination and provision of intermittent nursing services and the administration of medications and treatments as provided by law.

The Community provides direct care services for persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions. Often these are individuals with dementia diagnoses requiring residency in a dementia specific unit. For more details, please consult with our Executive Director.

At Ocotillo Place, your monthly covers 3 meals per day plus snacks, all utilities except phone and cable TV, housekeeping and linen service, activity programs, transportation and additional common amenities such as guest dining room, library, pool table and activity room and much more.
Our Residency and Care Agreements are month-to-month and initial residency includes an entrance fee. A second resident in a given room is charged a substantially reduced rate. Care charges are based on each individuals care assessment and service plan and are a points-based fee system.

Our care giving staff is available in the building 24 hours per day. We have a full time LPN that is in the building 5 days per week or as needed and is on call 24 hours per day if an emergency arises.
