The Cottages at University Place
The Cottages at University Place, a Memory Care Community, offers three small, cozy cottages, each with a maximum of 20 residents. This design concept allows us to provide your loved one with the personal attention he or she deserves in a familiar, intimate, calm and safe environment.
Each Cottage opens and exits into an expansive but secure outside interior courtyard allowing residents the freedom to safely stroll, exercise and enjoy open spaces among landscaped walkways and surroundings.
Each cottage is self-contained with its own kitchen, dining room, laundry, living room area with fireplace and private resident rooms. Residents create a sense of truly being at home by personalizing their bedrooms with familiar furnishings and cherished mementos.
About Our Community
The Cottages at University Place, a Unique Memory Care Community is in University Place, Washington. Our Memory Care was designed with a lot of research. We were designed for people living with Dementia. To give them a safe space to wander, be among their peers and participate in activities with others. We want to know their history, who they were prior to their diagnosis of Dementia, their likes, dislikes, and things that provide them comfort. These are things that we will incorporate into their care plan and use for redirection techniques when needed. Care Available
With a full spectrum of care, The Cottages of University Place meets needs from medication management to end of life care. 24- Hour awake staff completing routine check ins. Multiple providers come to extend on site personalized care for our residents such as, physicians specializing in geriatrics, podiatrists, physical therapists, dental hygienists, and mental health professionals
Community Amenities
Our Memory Care Community offers three cozy residential cottages, each with only up to twenty residents. This design concept allows us to provide your loved one with the care and personal attention he or she deserves in a familiar, intimate, calm and safe environment. Each cottage is self-contained with its own kitchen area, dining room, laundry, living room area with fireplace. At the Cottages we are known for our beautiful courtyard that stretches the length of the property with lush landscaping and a safe path for walking. Opportunities for gardening, outdoor entertainment, and front porch sitting with a friend. Social events could include a visit from a local pastor, therapy dogs or maybe even Elvis Presley.
