Pet Partners is the national leader in demonstrating and promoting positive human-animal therapy, activities and education. Their teams interact with a wide variety of clients including veterans with PTSD, seniors living with Alzheimer’s, students with literacy challenges, patients in recovery, people with intellectual disabilities and those approaching end of life. The impact of these interactions is felt one million times a year. Pet Partners’ curriculum and continuing education for licensed instructors, evaluators and handlers is the gold standard in the field. People and animal volunteer teams are the heart and soul of Pet Partners’ Therapy Animal Program.

Joanne Montzingo and her Therapy Dog Allie are both Pet Partners certified. Along with dedicated Memory Care, they volunteer their time at Children’s Hospital, SeaTac Airport, and Senior Living Communities.

Our mother moved to the Cottages at Marysville about eight months ago because of her need for memory care. The caregivers at the Cottages are consistently kind, patient and attentive to the needs of residents, and our mom feels safe. The office and nursing staff are responsive, supportive, knowledgeable, and willing to address concerns. A high level of family involvement with residents helps create a warm atmosphere. When it is no longer possible for a loved one to remain at home, the Cottages is a good alternative.

My mother has been living at the Cottages since Sept 21, 2012–longer than anyone that resides there. She has had wonderful care, and I believe the caregivers really bond with the residents. It does not smell, is very clean, organized and supportive of family. The person who complained that was a former employee has no valid cause for what he states. He himself was a problem—visiting with the family as if they came to see him, taking away from the resident being visited. Being on his personal phone outside when i was needing some help for my mother, and complaining about the work. I appreciate all the caregivers that take care of my mom. I hope the Cottages does as much as they can to keep the terrific caregivers that they have on staff.

My wife has been living comfortably in this facility for over a month. She is being well cared for and attended to in every way. She has a very cozy private room that she is very safe and secure in. The professionalism of the staff and care givers can not be overstated. Everyone truly cares for our loved ones with as much or more concern than we have. I have visited at different times of the day and week and have always found the level of care extremely consistent. The openness of the facility to all residents and the well tended grounds makes one feel extremely comfortable and at home. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone seeking a safe and comfortable place for their loved ones with memory issues.

To whom it may concern:

I would like to express my appreciation to the Cottages staff in caring for my mother while she was in residence this spring. They were unfailing pleasant and helpful. My mother’s physical and mental condition improved while she was there – she even gained weight! Your Executive Director was a particular delight – a friendly face and very pro-active whenever I had a concern. Even as a visitor I noticed improvement in management systems after he came on board. Thank you all for your kindness and hospitality.

Cheers,
